Man from Monterrey shot to death in Cancun Hotel Zone

first_imgCancun, Q.R. — A man has been shot and killed by gunfire in the Cancun Hotel Zone after being shot at while inside his vehicle. The body was found by Cancun Hotel Zone Tourist Police. Experts from the State Prosecutor General’s Office found six large caliber casings at the scene as well bullet holes in the left rear door window. Rogelio was visiting Cancun with three friends all reported to be from Monterrey, Nuevo León. The shooting took place at 1:50 a.m. when 31-year-old Rogelio E.G. from Monterrey was hit several times while inside his Jeep Wrangler. The events were recorded outside a hotel at Kilometer 21 on Boulevard Kukulcán in the Cancun Hotel Zone. center_img The lifeless body was discovered in the driver’s seat of the State of Mexico-plated Jeep. The shooting is not considered random with some witnesses saying the four shooters were waiting for Rogelio outside the hotel. So far, there have been no arrests. The Attorney General continues to investigate.
