Liverpool defender joins Serie A side in permanent deal

Klavan scored a late winner against Burnley last season However, the arrival of world record signing Virgil van Dijk in January from Southampton pushed the 32-year-old even further out of Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the new season.The deal, thought to be around £2million, has been completed before Cagliari play their first game of the season against Empoli this weekend.Klavan scored twice for the Reds during his short stay, scoring a crucial winner against Burnley earlier this year.He featured eight times in the Champions League for Klopp’s side as well last season, helping them reach the Final against Real Madrid.center_img 1last_img
